The purpose of this project was to investigate whether babies do learn words from “first word” books. The books often utilise tactile features but it is yet to be researched whether this additional input helps or hinders word learning. One-year old children will be assessed on their word learning before and after using such books. To find out more, please see the Baby Books project.
This project is run by Dr Amber Muhinyi, Dr. Jeanne Shinsky and Professor Jessie Ricketts.
