Orthographic facilitation in noise

This project began in May 2022 and is funded by an EPS New Graduate Research Bursary. The purpose of this project was to test whether the presence of orthography can mitigate the detrimental impact of noise on word learning. Most word learning happens in noisy environments (i.e., classrooms) so identifying techniques that can counteract this is of the utmost importance for vocabulary development.

This project is run by Dr. Andrea Salins at the Australian Catholic University, Courtney Hooton and Professor Jessie Ricketts at Royal Holloway
