Members of the LARA lab will be attending the parliamentary seminar on measuring literacy in Westminster on Monday the 17th of October 2016. With support from the Economic and Social Research Council, Jessie has organised the event in collaboration with Sarah Bunn and others at the Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology. Professor Kathy Rastle will be talking about the value of testing for learning, Professor Maggie Snowling will talk about early language and literacy development, and Jessie will talk about the Vocabulary and Reading in Secondary School (VaRiSS) project and measuring literacy in secondary school.
